Mission Statement:  The Wyandanch Homes and Property Development Corporation was
created in 1985 to alleviate a severe housing shortage for the poor living in Wyandanch and
other impacted Suffolk County communities. The core objective of WHPDC is to rebuild both
communities and families by buying and rehabilitating housing for the poor and by providing
poor families with support services, which enable them to achieve self- sufficiency.

•        In 2007, we moved 5 families out of shelters into the WHPDC housing.
•        Five families moved out of the WHPDC and transitioned into permanent housing
•        WHPDC provided housing and services for 27 families ( 33 adults and 86 children )
•        WHPDC provided assessments for 522 economically disadvantaged individuals
